Venezuelan child advocacy group Cecodap and Unicef-Venezuela organized a vaccination campaign lasting a day called " A dose of love to help us get along together."
- Children and teenagers took part in the short campaign highlighting tolerance as Dose Number One, followed by respect and peace.
Cecodap official, Maykert Gonzalez Arvelaez says the idea was to invite people being vaccinated to reflect a little about when they have been violent and how they could have avoided it.
"Tolerance is understood as a virtue consisting essentially of respect for differences ... we want to sensitize people to do something about aggression, explosive conflicts, lack of respect and family outbursts which have become part and parcel of daily life."
During International Day of the Child, Cecodap will stress the virtue, "respect" and in November that of peace ... "it's a chance to open a channel of understanding in society."
