No case of SARS registered in Slovakia
<a href=www.slovensko.com>Slovenko.com Mon 31-Mar [RSI] Officials of the National respiratory Centre in Bratislava informed that there are no cases of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome or SARS registered in Slovakia so far. The disease is characterised by a high fever and the symptoms are very similar to that of flu. It first appeared in South East Asia earlier this year and infected over 1300 people. 50 of them died. The Slovak Foreign Ministry has asked citizens to avoid countries in East and Southeast Asia, especially China, Hong-Kong, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Singapore. It also called on citizens to rethink a trip to Canada, where some cases of SARS were registered last week.
