One student dead in Youth Parade clash between secondary schools

One student died and another was injured when they fell off a bus during a row between rival secondary schools in the city of Maturin (Anzoategui) … Joan Hernandez (16) died on entering emergency and Vanesa Carolina Lopez (12) is still in intensive care.

• Fighting broke out between the Miguel Jose Sanz and Felix Angel Lozada schools during Februarey 12 Youth day parade in the center of the city.

The Miguel Jose Sanz group commandeered a bus to settle scores with its traditional rivals but unfortunately Hernandez and Lopez fell off and were run over. According to news sources, the battle of bottles, stones and sticks between the two groups had nothing to do with the current political situation in Venezuela.
