Brazil Petrobras ships fuel to strike-hit Venezuela

Reuters, 12.26.02, 10:43 AM ET RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil, Dec 26 (Reuters) - Brazil's state oil giant Petrobras <PETR4.SA> (nyse: PBR - news - people) shipped 520,000 barrels of gasoline to strike-hit Venezuela on Wednesday, a Petrobras spokesman said on Thursday. "The Amazon Explorer ship with 520,000 barrels is due to arrive in Venezuela by this weekend," the spokesman told Reuters. Earlier, Petrobras officials declined to comment on any potential deliveries of fuel to Venezuela, which is Latin America's No. 1 oil producer.
